Ford Performance Racing (FPR) is busily preparing for the long-haul trip to the Northern Territory for next weekend's sixth event of the 2011 V8 Supercar season at Hidden Valley in Darwin.
All three factory Falcons have been stripped and thoroughly checked since the last event at Winton and each is now in the final stage of rebuild before the team's two Western Star-pulled transporters depart for the Top End on Saturday.
The team's engineering department has been working long hours to improve the overall performance of its three FG Falcon V8 Supercars.
Drivers Mark Winterbottom, Will Davison and Paul Dumbrell believe the team can regain its early-season form and return to the podium at Hidden Valley.
Winterbottom's #5 Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon and Davison's #6 Trading Post FPR Falcon have both been given a thorough going over, while Dumbrell's #55 The Bottle-O FPR Falcon underwent minor repairs before rebuild commenced.
FPR drivers and race crew head to Darwin next Wednesday to begin the build up to the Hidden Valley event.
