Ford Performance Racing is developing the next Blue Oval V8 Supercar with work well underway on the FG X Falcon for the 2015 season as the team helps Ford launch the new model this weekend at Bathurst.
The defending Bathurst 1000 Champions have been working on the V8 Supercar version of the final Falcon in recent months and development work is progressing.
“Public reaction to the FG X Falcon has been incredibly strong and it’s obvious just how much passion there is for the brand so it has been a pleasure to develop the final Falcon V8 Supercar,” FPR Team Principal Tim Edwards.
“The FG has been a great car and a highly-successful one but it is time to update to the new model and we are working towards getting the FG X homologated and beginning testing.”
FPR’s Bathurst defence is well underway with the team setting the two fastest times in Thursday practice with David Reynolds setting a new V8 Supercars lap record ahead of 2013 race winner, Mark Winterbottom.
