Ford Performane Racingt has extended its partnership with Australian steel, tube and pipe company Orrcon Steel in a new deal which will see the team''s long-term partner achieve 15 consecutive years of support to Australian motorsport.
Orrcon Steel National Sales and Marketing Manager, Lester Kirkwood made the announcement today. “We are delighted to announce that we are onboard for the next two seasons with the FPR team.
“Orrcon Steel has been a supporter of a V8 Supercar team since 2002. The motorsport program through interaction with the FPR team enables us to bring all parts of our business together to further strengthen our relationships with staff and customers.”
FPR Team Principal, Tim Edwards, welcomed the extension of a very successful relationship on and off the track.
“We are of course very pleased that Orrcon Steel has committed to another two years of sponsorship of cars five and six.
“We have enjoyed the benefit of Orrcon Steel’s involvement over the last eight seasons with our respective teams working well together. Their continuation is now one of the longest sponsorship associations with a team in V8 motorsport,” said Mr Edwards.
The Orrcon Steel sponsorship also continues their long term support of leading Ford driver, Mark Winterbottom and renews their links with Chaz Mostert, recent Bathurst 1000 winner and a young driver that will continue to rise and challenge for the Driver’s Championship.
